The US Army War College's Department of Strategic Examination (DSE) is comprised of the Strategic Wargaming Division, Strategic Assessments and Operations Research Division, Strategic Simulation Division and Emerging Concepts and Doctrine Division.
Maintain, refine, and continue to improve current standards and execution across all activities and programs to ensure world class strategic examination, analytical support, and concept and doctrine integration and thinking for the Center, College, U.S. Army, Force, and Nation (including LoE tasks/requirements); ensure programs and activities are properly archived on an annual basis; continue to lead and improve output/impact of the Futures WG/CoA, Homeland Defense and Security WG/CoA, and the Cyber WG/CoA for the College; lead the CSL team in all strategic examination requirements (wargames, conferences, workshops, analytical support, simulations, exercises, experimentation, innovation, and so on).
DSE has a diverse technical workforce including Strategists, Intelligence Analysts, SE has a diverse technical workforce including Strategists, Intelligence Analysts, Operations Research Analysts, and USAWC Professors.
